最近お気に入りのニュースサイト「Gizmodo」に掲載された3月11日付けの記事から。

Now I just played with it for a couple of minutes, but I was expecting something more polished. Pressing the music button takes you to the media player, but pressing it again doesn't play the song. Neither does pushing in on the joystick. Instead, you have push the stick to the right (at least I think; I had to rely on visual feedback, which was sparse).

　どうやら、音楽プレイヤー機能を使うためのユーザーインタフェースが良くないらしい。まぁ、試作段階で判断を下すのも早計すぎるだろうけど、やっぱりソニーはハードの使い心地みたいなことを真剣に考えたほうが良いよね。例のPSPの「仕様」問題（笑）とかもあったことだしさ。

　もっとも、携帯電話ということに関して言えば、個人的には音楽プレイヤー機能なんてのは要らないから、コンクリの上に落としても雨に濡れても壊れないような丈夫さで、しかもデザイン的にも優れた端末が欲しい。大昔の黒電話なんて、壁に何度投げつけても壊れなかったもんなぁ（笑）。
